PRIVATE STUDIO

I approach teaching as a collaborative and student-centered process. Every student brings a unique background, set of goals, and way of learning, and effective teaching begins with listening, adaptability, and trust.
My pedagogy emphasizes both technical foundation and artistic development. Lessons are tailored to each student, balancing structure with flexibility, and encouraging curiosity, independence, and personal expression. Clear communication and thoughtful goal-setting guide students toward sustainable progress and confident performance.
My teaching integrates a wide range of skills, including aural skills and musicianship, music theory and analysis, sight reading and improvisation, effective and healthy practice habits, physical awareness and wellness, performance preparation and opportunities, and individual interpretation informed by historical context. Students are also encouraged to participate in competitions and festivals when appropriate.
I believe music should be both rigorous and meaningful. My goal is to help students develop the tools, confidence, and artistic voice needed to engage deeply with music and continue growing beyond the studio.
